Bridge City Comics is proud to announce our Witch Doctor #1 Release Party w/Brandon Seifert and Lukas Ketner on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 6pm – 8pm! This event is free to the public.

Come help us celebrate these two Portland locals and hear them tell their amazing story of how, out of all of the self-publishing comics being produced today, they were hand-picked by Robert Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead) to launch his new imprint at Image Comics, the third largest comics publisher in America!

We will have copies of Witch Doctor #1 on sale for $2.99 a copy. Autographs are free!

Bridge City Comics is proud to announce our Cognition: The Robot Uprising Release Partyon Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 5pm - 7pm! This event is free to the public.

Come down and pick up a copy of this interesting new title from Portlanders Aaron Cronan (writer) and Matthew Hopkins (artist)!

Additionally, head down the street to Mississippi Studios after the signing for an all ages Nerd Night party, music from Robot Uprise, The Slants and Exquisite Rap Duo (doors at 7:30, show starts at 8:00). $5 door ticket with a copy of Cognition #1 from Bridge City Comics.

CELEBRATE FREE COMIC BOOK DAY WITH BRIDGE CITY COMICS ON SATURDAY, MAY 7!

Local artist Matt Holm holds nationwide premier of new Babymouse book and new series!

UPDATE: Two special sales for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! In addition to giving out comics, all bagged back issues (from the back issue bin) are only ONE DOLLAR each! Also, all variant cover comics are only $4 each!

JUST ADDED: Vinny Navarrete, artist on Oni Press' SKETCH MONSTERS (included in Oni's Free Comic Book Day comic available at the event) will be signing during our FCBD party from 11am - 1pm! In addition to Sketch Monsters, Vinnie was also the artist on Dear Dracula, one of our favorite kid's books!

Bridge City Comics in Portland, OR is one of thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating the comic book art form on Saturday, May 7. On Free Comic Book Day, close to 2.7 million comic books will be given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the wonders of comic books!

In addition to dozens of free comics available during the day, Bridge City Comics will also host an autograph signings with Portland local Matt Holm (from 11am - 1pm), artist on the popular Babymouse series of YA graphic novels! This signing event will also be the worldwide launch for the newest volume of Babymouse (Babymouse Vol. 14: Mad Scientist) and his brand new series titled "Squish"! COpies of both books will be available for purchase three days before their nationwide release!


Stumptown Release Party w/ Greg Rucka and Matt Southworth

Bridge City Comics is proud to announce our Stumptown Release Party w/Greg Rucka and Matt Southworth on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 6pm - 8pm! This event is free to the public.

Award-winning author Greg Rucka and rising superstar artist Matt Southworth will be on hand to sign copies of Stumptown, the brand new hard cover graphic novel collection of their four issue miniseries of the same name. Stumptown is a hard-boiled detective story about a female P.I. in Portland. Copies of Stumptown will be available for purchase during the signing.

In addition, Bridge City Comics is teaming up with Stumptown publisher Oni Press to produce a limited edition print, featuring brand new Stumptown artwork (created by series artist Matt Southworth), for sale only at this event!

About Stumptown:
Dex Parios is the proprietor of Stumptown Investigations, and a fairly talented P.I. Unfortunately, she's less adept at throwing dice than solving cases. Her recent streak has left her beyond broke - she's in to the Confederated Tribes of the Wind Coast for 18 large. But maybe Dex's luck is about to change. Sue-Lynne, head of the Wind Coast's casino operation, will clear Dex's debt if she can locate Sue-Lynne's missing granddaughter.
